MEMBRANE.
The video is inadequate documentation of this performance installation which was given twice. First in Dunedin in May of 1984, and then in Edinburgh in August as part of a New Zealand contingent of artists presenting work at the Edinburgh Fringe of that year. Hopefully the text, images and sounds give some sense of my intentions.
I have also included a video clip from 'Eye Witness News' which conveys the mirth the work seemed to cause some viewers.
However, despite some extraordinarily destructive criticism from a variety of quarters, I still feel this was one of my most accomplished works in any genre.
Further still images here.
