This is my earliest acknowledged electroacoustic work. It was made in the studios of Toronto University during the Canadian winter of 1972/73.
It uses an obsolete, tape loop playing keyboard, and a couple of old, noisy Ampex AG440 tape machines.
The ee cummings poem is spelled phonetically, the words only becoming comprehensible when they are uttered. I attempted to emulate this by the use of tape reversal, which is gradually removed as the protagonist (a rather sceptical, but resonant voiced studio technician, co-opted for the task) proclaims the central thread of the text.
