BIRTHDAY.
Another of the performance installations from the early 1980's.
The work was performed twice. Once in Christchurch (in the Canterbury Society for the Arts Gallery) in 1982, and again in Wellington later in the same year as part of the F1 Sculpture Festival organised by Ian Hunter (another extremely supportive individual from this time).
Audio materials from this work formed the beginning of a much broader collection that eventually culminated in my first 8channel acousmatic work 'Birth Circle' completed in the year 2000.
