You will notice under the title in the inside page of the programme booklet below, the sub title 'A Tapestry for the Alexander Turnbull Library'.
The letter on the left hand side of the inside page explains why I have dedicated this work to the library.
However, the idea of a 'tapestry of sound' refers to the weaving in and out of the myriad of recorded workbook entries, forming a contrapuntal texture of data. The varying availability of recognisable content,
and the eventual transformation of intelligible texture into pure sonority is intended to make a statement about our constant attempt to 'make sense' of things.
